Prayer quilt for friend

This was a strip quilt top from a few months ago.  Finished it for a friend. Purple worked in for high vibration.

Stripping

I have discovered I LOVE LOVE LOVE strip quilting.  It is fast and a surprise on how the strips match up.  These pictures are a little off on the colors.  Once I got over control issues it was super fun.  The person that gave me the technique warned me to not try to plan anything and just let it happen.  Good advice.

This is a completed quilt for a special friend.  The strips and corner squares were from a package of fat quarters.  Seperate purchase for border and backing and binding.

The following are borderless quilt tops from fat square packages.  Selecting the border fabric will be my next challenge. Then quilting and finding them a home.
I was very surprised that I liked the one directly below as orange and yellow are not my first choice colors.  In real life it looks much brighter and almost easterf chicken fluffy. :-)

This batch is mainly for the little ones. All are backed w/flannel and lots of flannel in the quilt tops. Soft and snuggly.

Wood turning

Hubby's first attempt at wood turning. He used an old 1x6 piece of pine. Lookin' good. Especially for first time. I'm makin' a list.....
