Churn Dash quilt block.

Week 28-2009

Using penmanship as quilting. Hmmmmm may take a little practice. Would be helpful having a really smooth backing. I used a stabilzer which had some drag.

Playing with triangles, blocks and strips.

week 27-2009

Printed photo on transparent film. Mixed equal parts paint and gel medium on fabric. Layed film on fabric and used a big spoon as a brayer. Lifted off film and dried.

This one is silver paint and med on light blue fabric.


This one is white paint/med on white fabric.

week 26-2009

Red fabric (multi colored metalic looking stars) appliqued on black/gray fabric. Batted and backed before stitched.

week 25-2009

Novelty fabric. Batting and cotton backing. Top stitched using briar stitch
