Week 6 - 2009

My grand daughter Madeleine showed me a yarn doll she made. One afternoon I had a spool of thread and fiddling with it ended up with a 'thread' doll. I put it on the gold fabric and cut around the doll. I decided to call it 'AURA' because it reminded me that No matter what we carry around (fears, shame, resentment) we still are a light and spiritual being.


Week 6 - 2008 Word of the month ME.

Week 5-2009

Word of the month is OCEAN. It was my turn to pick the word. I have been in the Florida Keys for the last week and the ocean is just beautiful. Changing color by the hour. When going thru my small traveling stash I found this water color fabric. Enough said. The stitches are like waves. I cut the fabric with waves in mind. Easy and fun and so where on this planet I am right now.

This is in honor of all the hope that seems to be radiating in our country right now. Keep the thought!! The picture was on the front of People magazine. I am traveling at this time and do not have a scanner so fused the pic to the light blue and then fused to the dk blue.
