Five Fabric Circles sewn to fusible interfacing, right side of fabric sewn to fusible side of interfacing, trim, split interfacing and turn right side out, arrange on a piece of fabric, press with a steam iron. The one I saw had a blanket stitch around each circle, since my machine doesn't have that stitch I used different stitches around each circle. Lesson learned, be careful which colors overlap since the dark will show thru the lighter color. Easy fun project.Monday, January 26, 2009

Journal Block 1 of 2009
This was Journal Block 1 in 2008, at the time I thought I might was to do hand embroidery again.
Journal block 1 in 2009. Brushed paint on sheet of plastic, scraped off the paint for the 9 and squiggles, layed the plastic paint side down on the fabric. Using a roller would be better for even paint coverage.
